Regardless of your position, you are ultimately one of the basic units of the entire Union!
Your passport already proves that you are a citizen of the European Union, and not just of your own country.
The euros in your digital wallet and your many Union-wide rights say the same.
And your vote in the European Parliament elections.
You are therefore a unique actor at many essential levels of the European Union: political, public, private and personal.
The idea of a "Personal EU" aims at a practice in which a very large number of personal teams across the Union have tools to complement the achievements of the Union's political, public and private actors with their interactive participation, feedback and initiatives.
This PPPP interaction (political-public-private-personal) is also part of the basis of Personal EU thinking, because every individual, regardless of their position, also carries these different roles within themselves:
Personal
This is your only life
Nobody else can live it
Nobody knows Your ideas and needs as You
Private
It's Your challenges, business, and Your ownership
Public
You are a unique part of the national and EU society in many roles. The public sector, authorized by the citizens, manages important aspects of the future: sustainable development, air quality, water quality, safe life... Naturally, You participate in the development of the public sector as an individual.
Political
In elections, Your voice can be that one.
PPPP thinking is also about expanding:
from boxes to circles,
from hierarchies to teams,
from local self-centredness to we-centredness and global to glocal.
The diversity and openness of PPPP are therefore the language of cooperation in common challenges.
PPPP and Personal EU are such central guidelines that the responsibility for their synchronization and development must be part of the leadership objectives of the EU's citizen-centred and digital decade processes.
